Subsidised Tuition Scheme

The annually reviewed Subsidised Tuition Scheme is available for students up to the age of 18 who are Brighton & Hove residents or who attend Brighton & Hove Local Education Authority Schools. The scheme provides either 80% or 50% subsidy on tuition fees and instrument hire as follows:

80% subsidy is available if you are receiving:

• Income Support
• Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
• You are a pupil over 16 receiving a maintenance grant and/or free transport

50% subsidy if you are receiving:

• Child Tax Credit with eligibility for free school lunches

Please Note: only one instrument per child can be offered under this scheme
